Coaching Mastery Training for Professionals
Duncan Coppock MCC
Director of Training
Hear Duncan speak about why the coach trainings matter
to him here
Overview
This training consists of three modules which taken
together cover the training and mentoring requirements needed to
apply for credentialing at the ACC level with the International
Coach Federation. It is accredited by the ICF for 70 hours of coach
specific training and is aimed at leaders, managers, coaches and
other professionals.Entry requirements and other policies can be
viewed here.
The first two modules introduce and develop the core
coaching competencies and support participants in applying them
in an organisational setting. These are usually taken together as
part of the same group but it can be possible to join a later cohort
for the second module.
The third module is an intense practicum and mentoring
program that deepens participant's skills through practice, observation
and feedback - based on the ICF core competencies. This module may
be taken following the first two modules or at a later date. It
can also be taken on its own by those who have had previous coach
training.
Programs are delivered in English with some additional
support and translation available depending on the location of the
training.
Philosophy
Our overarching philosophy is that everyone has, at
their core, a source of wisdom, strength and resourcefulness that
when accessed leads to more effective and fulfilling action, results
and relationships. When a coach is connected to their own resourceful
and authentic self they can empower their clients and colleagues
to access their unique experience, wisdom and potential. Coaching
clients are then supported to develop greater awareness, learning
and responsibility and in turn to positively influence and develop
others, including their own teams and organisations.
Thus coaching contributes to learning organisations
becoming more effective and better places to work. This results
in increased profitability supported by higher levels of staff motivation,
loyalty and retention.
And, in the bigger picture, we envisage and contribute
to a shared world where people and groups are more connected, supportive
and empowered.
General program vision and goals
The aim of the programme is to enable participants to coach others
to become more connected with their own self resourcefulness, to
gain clarity, make better choices and be more effective in their
work and in the development and leadership of others.
Participants will also be supported in developing a ‘coach-approach'
as part of their leadership, management or other professional work.
An indirect goal of the training is to contribute to healthier
and more effective organisations.

Learning coaching together with Duncan
and Ivar is pure fun and learning at once – the course guides
you through various aspects of coaching using theory and practice
hand in hand, step by step. They encourage you to explore and experience
building your learning on your own experiences. This is what makes
the course inspiring – they offer you a safe journey to find
your own way in coaching. I like when they are honest with you –
they let you make your mistakes and at the same time they encourage
you to learn and move forward.
Aside from coaching techniques, coaching has taught me to become
more patient and less judging – it has encouraged me to explore
and be curious, be open to people and listen carefully.
In my team I encourage my team members to explore and find their
own ways, come up with their own solutions and let them have their
own lessons learned. True learning can happen only through exploring.

I had come across coaching during other
trainings and workshops, but this course was a game changer for
me. Not only did it help me to work through all the complicated
issues in my life during a turbulent period, I also developed my
coaching skills in leaps and bounds each module in an open and caring
atmosphere. Ivar and Duncan are simply a powerhouse team - articulate
and supportive mentors with extensive professional knowledge and
experience.
In my organization many people now have coaches, and the demand
to know and learn more is only increasing. Moreover, a few of us
are studying to also become internal coaches. As for me, the course
had such an impact that I discovered coaching as my greatest passion.
I am now in the process of transitioning into becoming a full-time
coach, and just recently obtained a professional ICF credential.
If you want to seek clarity, raise awareness, or better organize
your life and organization, I highly recommend you make the investment
in yourself and take the course.
